Hello after God knows how long I am finally breaking my blogger silence. Well mainly i'm doing it so the first thing you see on this blog is not the hideous video of some hopeless rock star wannabe.

Anyway we should make this page more hip, more chutzpah! As in make this page more reader friendly. Maybe Joey should offer to strip for the site and generate more hits. Or Jasper can post instructional articles on the optimal size of your mouth to better facilitate singing.

In any event, we've been around for like a year half now? We've done a couple of good things in that time and we've dragged ourselves to a somewhat respectable level. Granted, we're nowhere near where we want to be, but its good that we're taking baby steps along the way. And so as our dream began, hopefully one day we can come to the fulfillment of that dream and make this bloody experiment our day jobs.

I know we don't have serious practices but i love it that way. Trust me, i know deep down, maybe deep deep deep down for some of us, we are serious about this and serious about what we do. Let's keep it going ya, bring the fun into music, and going by some of the jokes we tell, put the sin into singing!

Many of us have been singing a long time now. We know its not gonna be easy, especially as no one gives a flying fish about us and wait for us to collapse on our fat faces (some noticeably getting fatter). We also know that building a sound is not gonna happen overnight. We will not get suckered into setting a target for musical excellence. But bear with me little islanders, and stay patient, one day, as sure as Newcastle will someday win the league, we will get there. No pressure ya?

Stay true, work hard and try remember your music theory. Next time correct answers may get chocolate! I'll study hard too so we can learn new stuff and hopefully become better singers and musicians every week! Keep tagging keep singing! Though not like the nutcase in the video bellow, most unhealthy for the voice...

Recording Dates

Hey there,

For those who weren't here today, we'll be recording the Christmas songs first at Hector's. This is due to the time constraint and the high pricing at studios. We are still planning to do a professional recording when we've had enough time for more practice (and more money in the choir fund, maybe :p)

Please let me know which dates you are free for EACH week by LIV on 11th May:

Saturdays timing: 9.45am to 1.30pm
Sunday timing: 1.30pm to 5pm

Week One: Sat- 7 June/Sun- 8 June
Week Two: Sat- 14 June/Sun- 15 June

Chinese New Year

Hey there! Yay! My first post! Haha.

Anyway, I'll be opening my home from 12noon til 4pm this Saturday, 9 Feb, for all of you to come over. Please let me know whether you can make it by Tuesday night, so I can prepare food (unless you don't wanna eat :p).

hello everybody!

i was wondering if you all wanna perform for kong meng san.. for vesak day event.. there is one every year i think.. i worked on this project for them last year. and i did ask jasper to ask you all about it last year..

it is an inter-religious thingie.. and there will be a stage at orchard, then we get to sing on it! will get paid la, but very little.. $50-$100.. i think, but it's a kind of exposure.. vesak this year is at 19th May.. but it's not ON the day itself, some time before that. haha.. i'll ask the person-in-charge for more details if you all are interested..

can sing any song.. like any song.. all those we've performed before are fine! (:

Its a thing at 4+ to do sai gang (according to Danny) Ushering old folks singing song but its not a performance. Basically community service.
